Series 040 - ASCO Direct Operated Low Pressure Gaseous Fluids G1/8-G3/4
The ASCO 040 series is a range of direct operated low pressure valves designed for controlling gaseous fluids such as natural gas or propane. These valves are typically used for industrial applications such as pilot and burner control on atmospheric and forced draught burners, kilns, and furnaces in process industries. The valves are made of aluminium, providing lightweight and durable construction, and are designed to provide maximum flow while ensuring tight shut-off with their resilient soft seating.
The ASCO 040 series has been type tested to the EN 161 standard, and meets the European gas appliance directive (90/396/EC) and its amendments. This means that the valves have been tested to ensure they meet safety and performance standards and are suitable for use in applications that involve gas.
The valves are suitable for use in class A group 2 service, which covers gas family 1 and 2, and are designed to withstand a back pressure of up to 150 mbar. This makes them ideal for low pressure gaseous fluid control applications where tight shut-off and maximum flow are required.
